Immediate opening for highly technical Support Engineer with experience in the maintenance and repair of CNC machine tools. Shall act as the GO-TO advisor for customers and technicians in the field in order to provide the phone support and coaching needed to ensure proper diagnosis and repair of downed machinery.
Advanced Technical Support (ATS) members MUST possess extremely high technical knowledge of CNC machine tools including 3, 4 and 5 axis mills, lathes, grinders, etc. Must possess proven background in servicing mechanical and electrical parts of machine tools. Must possess professional communication and presentation skills and must be proficient in the utilization of technical manuals.
Other duties include:
Regular communication with manufacturers to resolve problems in the field with associated machinery
Assisting warranty center and parts department with questions related to CNC machine tools
Collaboration with Service Coordinators to schedule Technicians based on type of service needed and competencies of available Technicians
